A Honeywell MAC Address is a 12-digit code of numbers and letters that identifies the associated device on an IP network. Providing this code is required for connecting the device with the Resideo AlarmNet Servers. This is required for IP alarm monitoring and for use with Total Connect 2.0.

Every device that can connect with an internet protocol (IP) network has a MAC address. This code identifies the device on an IP network. Honeywell devices that can connect to the internet are no exception. Each device will have its own MAC address. If you want to activate a Honeywell System for IP monitoring, then you must provide the MAC address to your monitoring company. The MAC address is also needed for associating a device with TC2.

Honeywell Tuxedo Touch: The Tuxedo Touch is a touchscreen keypad, not an actual alarm system. But you will still want its MAC address so that you can pair it with Total Connect 2.0 for remote Z-Wave control. You can find the MAC by first choosing the Settings icon in the lower-left corner of the main screen (the wrench and screwdriver). Then choose the System Information icon at the bottom, which is the letter 'i' with the three computer screens. The MAC address will be displayed at the top of the System Information Menu.
Honeywell VAM: Just like with the Tuxedo Touch, you will want to get the MAC address for the VAM so that you can use it for remote Z-Wave control. The easiest way to find the MAC is to check a sticker on the product box. But if you need to access the MAC from the VAM itself, you will need to enter the device's IP address into a web browser. This FAQ can help you. From there you can control the VAM just like you would a Tuxedo Touch. Choose Settings (wrench and screwdriver) > System Information (letter 'i' and three computer screens) > Note the MAC at the top.
Honeywell VISTA: On a VISTA, the MAC will actually be associated with the added communicator, not with the system itself. The only exception is the VISTA 21iP, which has a built-in IP communicator. Assuming you have added a communicator to your VISTA System, the MAC should be on the communicator's box. You can also find it on a sticker on the communicator's circuit board. If you have a VISTA 21iP, it should be on a label on the system board.
Honeywell LYNX Touch: A LYNX Touch System won't have its own MAC address. Instead, the MAC address is actually the one used with the Honeywell L5100-WIFI Card that you add to the system. The MAC should be be shown on the box for the L5100-WIFI, or you can find it on the module itself. But an even easier way to find it is to make the following selections from the main screen of the LYNX Touch:
Security > More > Tools > Installer Code (default 4112) > Program > Comm. Diagnostics > down arrow > Communication ID Numbers.
The MAC address will then be displayed at the top of the screen. Please note that you must have the L5100-WIFI installed inside the LYNX Touch for this to work.
Resideo Lyric: The Lyric has a built-in WIFI card, so naturally it has a MAC address as well. To find the MAC, start from the main system screen, and choose Security > Tools > Installer Code (default 4112) > Program > Comm. Diagnostics > Communication ID Numbers. The MAC will be displayed at the top.

What is a MAC Address (or MAC ID)?
'MAC' stands for Media Access Control, and is also known as a Physical Address. It is a unique set of letters and numbers that identifies your network card and computer.
For Windows 8.x:
1. From Start, perform a search.
2. Type cmd and make sure you have Apps selected (not Settings or Files).
3. In the results, find Command Prompt on the left. Click on it to open the Command Prompt.
4. In the Command Prompt window, type ipconfig /all and press Enter. Under the Ethernet Adapter Local Area Connection section, look for the “Physical Address”. This is your MAC Address.
For Windows Vista/7:
1. Click on the Start Menu, and in the Search box, type cmd then press Enter
